So we were supposed to go to Boston this week but my husband's gal bladder flared again and this time it was serious enough that I had to rush him to the ER. After some prodding and convincing, he's finally agreed to have the surgery, not that he really had a choice this time. He wanted to get some sleep so I came home.
He's scheduled for tomorrow. I have to go into work first thing in the morning to take care of a couple of things then I'll be at the hospital for the rest of the day. The surgeon is not sure yet if they can do the surgery laproscopically. His white blood cell count was high and they are pretty sure he has an infection. If they can, I should be able to take him home Tuesday, if not, he'll probably be in for a week.
I keep telling myself that it's a fairly common procedure with a high success rate but I'll be glad when it's over and I know I'm not going to get much sleep tonight. Of course, it doesn't help that he's reminding me that he wants to be cremated and shit like that. And the hospital staff is asking me if he has a living will, I know they have to but still.
Anyway, please keep us in your thoughts and I'll update as soon as I can.
