Best line from tonight's local news...

Showing the last minute shoppers at a supermarket stocking up for the blizzard the reporter said:

"Things are flying off the shelves, a little of everything including rock salt and snow shovels. But you know you're on Long Island when every single bagel is gone from the store."

Flash to a shot of the bakery shelves with a huge empty gap.

We gotta have the staples, ya know...

Six inches so far. And the heavy stuff hasn't hit yet.

They really aren't that hard to make. Just time consuming. :-) But, that would have been me. LOL!

With 2 or 3 bagel shops per block in any given town, no one makes their own here.

Ooh, bagels! That's what I forgot…huh.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm in SC and we got 2.5 in. And everyone is losing their minds. I grew up in OH. This is pretty but not anything to worry about.

Enjoy your snow!

I may be moving down your way this summer. I am so tired of New York winters. But I'll miss the bagels.

lol…well. We do have bagels down here. Promise.

Ironically, I'll hopefully be moving your way in the summer. Hoping to go to UMaine for grad school.
